we watch nature on screens constantly now. reels of orcas, slow motion octopus footage, some stranger's drone shot of a whale from four hundred feet up, set to music that tells us how to feel about it before we've felt anything. we know more about the ocean than any generation before us and we have never touched less of it. we've turned nature into content. beautiful content, but there’s something that happens to us when wild nature gets to be something we get to just live in…

Timmy Reyes is coming as our photographer, the whole trip, every day, shooting the water, our group, the wildlife, and the surf. this isn't a highlight reel situation. it's someone whose only job for nine days is to catch what's actually happening around you, above the water and below it. Plus he’s our pro-surfer water safety team for all surf + ocean support! Rumor has it he’s gotten the biggest barrel in the Galapagos.

Eddie is a former national surfing champion and a diver with over 1000 dives on the Galapagos started to provide his surfing and spots knowledge to passing by surfers in 1995 and eventually offered some of the first surf tours on the Galapagos. Since then, surfers have been able to enjoy not only the great galapaguenian waves but also enjoy one of the most amazing national parks in the world. He runs Amangala Surf Co, a small, family owned operation based on the Galapagos islands with over 20 years experience in showing and sharing this magical place that we also call home. (And Eddie came to our wedding!)
This is our third year working with Amagala - hosting, documenting, and leading trips to the Galápagos designed for all types of ocean lovers. We are there to show you the magic beyond what I could explain online… send me a message, a voice memo, connect with us, and ask us questions because this isn’t an average “retreat” … this is a tailored experience for serious ocean lovers.
