Ocean Devotion Retreat: Galápagos
Nine days in one of the last truly wild places left on earth. Sea lions asleep on the sand next to you. Marine iguanas swimming past your surfboard like it's nothing. Galapagueños who grew up on this water teaching us about the ocean. One of the greatest conservation stories of all time. A portal to a land where humans and nature live as one.
Trip of a life time. See the magic of the enchanted isles and discover everything that makes the Galápagos so extraordinary in an intimate group devoted to this place.
❋ Experience the Galapagos12 small boat trips and 2 expeditions to explore the untouched coasts of the Galapagos - exploring the ocean, following the surf, diving, and making memories.
❋ Boat trips includedWildlife tours, exploration, marine life, and connecting to the ocean through adventure + conversations. Learning about local marine biology, conservation, surfing, and ocean devotion through lived experience.
❋ Ocean DevotionSurf guide and national surfer Eddie Salazar is the first surf tour operator on the islands. Many spots are only accessible by boat - we have 12 small boat trips and 2 large charters to take you to some hidden gems with a legendary local crew.
❋ Surf + Snorkel Adventuresomething has happened to the way we look at nature
We call a place wild when there's a trailhead and a sign about it. We call a break uncrowded when it's only fifteen people instead of fifty. Every wave worth surfing has been found, forecasted, geotagged, and turned into a lineup within a season of someone posting it. Every wild place has a boardwalk to it now, or will soon. Somewhere along the way we got used to nature with the edges softened, managed, shared, and we forgot what it actually feels like when it isn't. Surfing somewhere truly untouched, genuinely uncrowded, nobody's discovered it, barely exists anymore.
there's a version of you that fell in love with the ocean before any of this.
Before the pressure, before the career, before you had to explain your relationship to nature. Before crowded lineups and every wave having a name. You miss water that felt bigger than you. You miss the connection you made to the ocean when you were probably just a kid…
That's the part of you this trip is for. The part that still remembers what discovery actually feels like, before it stopped existing most places. life is too short to not adventure into the unknown.
Surfing + exploring somewhere truly wild, genuinely uncrowded, where you can still feel like you’ve entered a place rather than arrived at an attraction, barely exists anymore.
who this is for
the surfer who wants more than another surf trip.
You want good waves, obviously. But you also want to disappear into somewhere unfamiliar. To surf, dive, explore, get dirty, get sunburned, see things you’ve never seen before, and come home feeling like you actually went somewhere.
the one who feels most like themselves in nature.
You don't necessarily need another wellness retreat or a packed itinerary. You want to spend nine days outside, in the ocean, around wildlife, and somewhere that still feels genuinely wild.
the one who loves animals more than most people. this was built for you first.
the photographer or the creative who wants to document nature. an actual wild place doing what it does whether you're pointing a camera at it or not.
the one who needs to unplug but not with another spa retreat. this is unplugging by way of ocean devotion.
the free diver or snorkeler who has to check this one off their bucket list (spoiler alert: it’s unreal)

Surf + Dive Guide, marine biologistMaddy Reyes
I've spent years turning my relationship with the ocean into a career, a thing to document + perform + monetize. good things, things i'm proud of. but somewhere in there i started loving the ocean through a viewfinder instead of through my own skin.
Galápagos is the place that gave the world its whole modern idea of what conservation + nature even is. Darwin sat on these same islands and figured out how everything is connected. i don't think that's a coincidence, that the place where humans first really understood the wild world is also one of the last places the wild world hasn't been tamed out of.
Timmy Reyes
Timmy Reyes is coming as our photographer, the whole trip, every day, shooting the water, our group, the wildlife, and the surf. Plus he’s our pro-surfer water safety team for all surf + ocean support!
Timmy Reyes will be with us for all nine days to get the best surf and capture it all.
Rumor has it he’s gotten the biggest barrel in the Galapagos.
Photographer + Ocean Leader, pro surfer
Surf + Dive Guide, local legendEddie Salazar
Eddie is a former national surfing champion and a diver with over 1000 dives on the Galapagos started to provide his surfing and spots knowledge to passing by surfers in 1995 and eventually offered some of the first surf tours on the Galapagos. Since then, surfers have been able to enjoy not only the great galapaguenian waves but also enjoy one of the most amazing national parks in the world. He runs Amangala Surf Co, a small, family owned operation based on the Galapagos islands with over 20 years experience in showing and sharing this magical place that we also call home. (And Eddie came to our wedding! oh yea and he’s the guy who shows John John and Nate Florence around!)

You can catch your own waves, read a lineup, and paddle out without needing help. However, if help is needed or you are learning how to surf there is an incredible local experts + surf school who can provide lessons as well as rental boards.
